Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli decided on Thursday to print 50-piaster and LE 1 commemorative coins commemorating the country’s achievements from 2014 to 2018.
Among the achievements to be commemorated are the “New Administrative Capital, Aswan’s Solar Power farms, the National Network for Roads, Power Generation Stations, New al-Alamen City, New Egyptian Countryside, Zohr Gas Field, and New Assiut Barracks,” Madbouli revealed.
Madbouli authorized the Ministry of Finance to design the coins with specifications included in the ministerial decree.
The decision also stipulates that the selling price of the commemorative coins would be LE 1 for the LE 1 coins, and 50 piasters for 50-piaster coins.
