Egyptian authorities imposed a travel ban on former Minister of Agriculture Amin Abaza and two National Democratic Party (NDP) members Wednesday and also seized their assets in preparation for investigatios.
The decision also prevents the family members of the minister and the two businessmen, Mohamed Abul Einein and Amr Mansi, from leaving Egypt.
The travel ban was imposed after several reports accused the three figures of involvement in corruption in Ismailia.
Egyptian authorities had banned several former officials and ministers from travel and frozen their assets to question them in corruption cases following an uprising that brought down former President Hosni Mubarak on 11 February.
