The Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Badie said he is praying for Mubarak’s health and wishing him a safe return after his surgery in Germany.
"We welcome the nominations of Hosni Mubarak, Gamal Mubarak or Mohamed ElBaradei to the presidency, so long as the people choose them in elections characterized by integrity," said Badie.
In his first visit to Beni Suef as supreme guide, Badie said he is not preoccupied with the deals being made between parties, and that his primary concern was the integrity of the elections where the Egyptian people can choose their representatives.
Currently, members of the Brotherhood are under arrest and there are rumors circulating that the Brotherhood has made a deal with the National Democratic Party. These arrests and rumors seek to tarnish the reputation of the Brotherhood, he said.
