No new government jobs for fresh graduates

The Finance Ministry on Tuesday announced that the government will not be offering new jobs to fresh university graduates, a decision rooted in the need to reduce pressure on the state budget, given the current poor condition of the national economy.

According to the ministry, there have been 12 million applications for jobs within the government since the 25 January revolution.

The ministry is studying alternative ways to offer employment to graduates, including providing more opportunities in the private sector and civil society organizations.

A ministry source said that only applications submitted by people under the age of 35 would be considered in the future, as many applicants were between 40 and 50 years of age.
