Perhaps the strength of the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah isn’t limited to his goal-scoring prowess and excellence on the football field – his good looks also stand out.
“The Egyptian King” ranked fourth on the list of the most handsome players in the 2026 World Cup, according to a study conducted by Bucharest-based Romanian company Dream A.
The Golden Ratio
Experts at Dream AI used the Golden Ratio to determine the most handsome players participating in the World Cup. The Golden Ratio is a mathematical equation developed by the Greeks to measure beauty and attractiveness, the al-Dostor newspaper reported.
According to the analysis, which included the 150 most searched footballers on Google who are participating in the World Cup entered into the Golden Ratio facial tool, Rodrigo De Paul is considered the most handsome player on the list, surpassing Germany’s Kai Havertz and England’s Noni Madueke.
He is also one of the best players on the Argentinian national team.
The CEO of Dream AI, Georgi Dimitrov, explained that: “The beauty of this ranking is that it doesn’t reflect a player’s fame. Some names you might expect to be at the top are actually ranked low, while Rodrigo De Paul tops the list, surpassing some of the world’s most famous players.”
He pointed out that Cristiano Ronaldo is a prime example. He’s one of the most image-conscious footballers, yet he ranks 45th in the study, demonstrating the accuracy of the Golden Ratio.
Dimitrov added: “The Golden Ratio doesn’t measure style, looks, confidence, or marketability. It looks at the harmony of facial features, which is something entirely different.”
An Egyptian victory
Egyptian player Mohamed Salah came in fourth place as the most handsome footballer participating in the World Cup, according to the analysis, after England’s Noni Madueke. Brazil’s Andriy came in fifth, and South Korea’s Son Heung-min came in sixth.
Mohamed Salah’s fourth-place ranking is also noteworthy as he is already one of the most recognizable faces in the world of football.
