President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and the ministers of Defense, Housing, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Justice and Supply, along with the acting head of the General Intelligence Service, and head of the Administrative Control Authority.
The meeting discussed the government’s preparations for the month of Ramadan, especially with regard to providing basic commodities, said Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the presidency.
Rady pointed out that the meeting emphasized continuing the efforts to control markets and tighten control on outlets, as well as to continue intensified monitoring campaigns.
The meeting reviewed the efforts of developing the wheat storage system across the country, by increasing the number of silos and developing the old ones.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the process of recovering state lands and developments in social housing projects, it additionally discussed construction work in the New Administrative Capital.
Moreover, there was a discussion of the measures taken to activate the ‘Aman’ (Security) certificate for Egyptian workers, which provides insurance to temporary workers and groups that do not have a fixed income. Aman aims to provide an insurance network for any citizen who lacks insurance protection in cases of death and accidents.
Finally, the meeting reviewed accomplishments and progress in establishing a national database that includes various indicators of data, and the time frame for completion, before reviewing the results of the Arab Summit recently held in Saudi Arabia.
