
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly confirmed his keenness to follow up on the implementation of projects across various sectors, including infrastructure development, upgrading road and transportation networks, and modernizing wastewater and drinking water systems, in addition to housing projects and the development of slums, in a manner that contributes to improving the quality of life for citizens in the governorate.
The premier’s remarks came at a meeting, which was held at the government’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Monday, December 22, 2025, to review the implementation status of developmental and investment projects in Alexandria Governorate.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment Manal Awad and Governor of Alexandria Ahmed Khaled.
For his part, the governor of Alexandria said that the governorate’s vision aims to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, based on the slogan “Building Value and Improving Quality of Life.”
This vision seeks to turn challenges into opportunities, improve citizens’ quality of life, and enhance Alexandria’s historical status as a regional and global hub.
He added that this vision seeks to make optimal use of assets owned by the governorate, protect natural resources to ensure sustainability, and achieve sustainable financial returns that can be used to develop infrastructure and smart services, with the aim of making Alexandria the leading smart city in Egypt.
He added that the governorate has taken several measures to improve the quality of services in the education sector, including upgrading and maintaining schools.
