The Egyptian Red Crescent organized a medical convoy to “Umm Hani Elderly Care Home” in the Imbaba district of Giza governorate, where residents received medical examinations in internal medicine, dermatology and orthopedics, along with free distribution of necessary medications.
The initiative also included blood sugar and blood pressure checks, distribution of 36 personal hygiene kits, and the provision of health and nutrition awareness sessions.
The convoy was organized in implementation of directives by Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy following surprise inspection visits she conducted over two days last week to three elderly care homes in the Imbaba and Warraq Al Arab areas in Giza to review services provided to residents and make recommendations aimed at ensuring a dignified life for them.
