Min. stresses offering needed support for Saint-Gobain Egypt to boost its investments

Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Hassan Khatib asserted offering all needed support for Saint-Gobain Egypt to boost its investments in the Egyptian market.

The minister made the remarks during a meeting with CEO of Saint-Gobain Egypt Ahmed Wafik on current and future investment opportunities in Egypt.

In statements on Thursday, Khatib said the meeting reviewed the company’s current projects in Egypt and future investment plans.

The company’s investments in Egypt stood at 160 million euros and its exports hit 56 million euros annually.

The company plans to inject 300 million euros in Egypt within three years (2024-2026), including establishing new factories.

Meanwhile, Wafik said the company is one of the world’s pioneering glass manufacturing companies.

He said the company is a key partner of the Egyptian state in order to realize its goal of upping exports to US$145 billion annually.
